Shawn wasn't as big as a baseball fan as he was a Football fan.  Just as he stayed a loyal Steelers Fan, he stayed a loyal Reds fan.  His favorite Reds player was Eric Davis.

Ironically Eric Davis began his Major League baseball career on May 19, 1984(May 19 is also the date my brother left us).

When Davis retired, Shawn seemed to lose intrest in the sport itself.  He wasn't the type to substitute his favorite teams or players.
I remember being the first person to tell Shawn that Griffey was going tothe Reds.  He didn't believe me so I had to so him proof.  He was so excited, once he realized I wasn't lying to him.  That was all he talked about afterwards.
Outside of the Reds, Shawn also liked Mark McGwire.
This is a ticket stub to 1 of the Reds games Shawn attended.
A funny baseball story we once had was one day we decided to go to a Pittsburgh Pirates game.  We get to Pittsburgh, some 60 minutes away, and oddly there were no cars in the staduim lot.  So we asked a person working at the staduim what was going on, he tells us the Pirates are playing away.  At first we all were a little upset, but the whole way home my friend and I jokingly blamed my brother for the useless trip.
